Sadly, Mr. Boyd died in 1943. His daughter, Dorothy, who had only begun working with him that year, took over the company, determined to carry on her father’s dream. Dorothy married Jack Sweet, a former US Advisor to China, in 1946. Jack joined the company himself in 1947 and together he and Dorothy rebuilt and expanded Boyd Lighting Company into a high quality, designer-oriented manufactured.

In conjunction with Boyd Lighting, Clodagh launched the Lineage Lighting Collection. Created by Clodagh, the Lineage Collection is characterized by steel ribs and natural mica diffusers.
